Human Profiling: n. the act or process or extrapolating information about a person based on physical and/or assumed features/traits; specifically the act of suspecting or targeting a person on the basis of observed characteristics or behavior, i.e. gender, skin color, facial or physical features, mannerisms.
The visual building and layering of materials and media used in my work reflects the stratum in profiling I am exploring. I attempt to reflect the identities we ourselves take on and the identities place upon us by others. What is the sociology behind identities, both the given and the acquired? How are they effective in the way we interact with each other?
